Hi Lost Ones,
I know some of you have been waiting for an update, but the biggest geek event in Italy is in full swing, and part of the team is over there running demos and manning the booth. Broken Tales was one of the finalists for the TTRPG of the Year Award – results were announced yesterday and the Italian edition of Wanderhome ended up winning, but I wanted to wait and see how things turned out.
TL;DR: If you added Dead Air: Seasons to your pledge you’re getting the Core Book PDF… now! Everything else is proceeding on schedule.
Dead Air: Seasons Core Book PDF available now
During the campaign or the Pledge Manager phase, some of you added our latest game as an add-on - Dead Air: Seasons, aka "What if we made a game that mixed The Last of Us, Station 11, and Children of Men, and focused on the passage of time and the story of a community of survivors?”
Well, I have good news. The Core Book is now available in PDF for backers, and will be available to the general public at a higher price from 19th November.
Once you have paid all outstanding fees in the Pledge Manager and added any version of Dead Air: Seasons Core Book to your pledge, you will receive an email from Backerkit with the link.
I will also send you free copies of DriveThruRPG over the weekend, but please note that you must be logged in to redeem them.
Not much to report here, we're still on schedule with what I communicated in the last update. Alberto has started playtesting some of the new Scenarios and Hunters with the community and I will start my round of reviewing all the texts in December. Daniel is producing new artwork at regular intervals, so all is well.
I have also started the dice production process, which usually takes 4-6 months. I might have the first sample by the end of the year.

MANSTERS - The Roleplaying Game

So che alcuni di voi stavano aspettando un aggiornamento, ma come ben sapete Lucca Comics & Games è in pieno svolgimento, e parte del team è lì a fare demo e a presidiare lo stand. Broken Tales era uno dei finalisti per il premio per il GdR dell'Anno – i risultati sono stati annunciati ieri e l'edizione italiana di Wanderhome ha vinto. Dead Air: Seasons è disponibile in PDF
Durante la campagna o la fase di Pledge Manager, alcuni di voi hanno aggiunto il nostro ultimo gioco come add-on - Dead Air: Seasons, ovvero "Ma se facessimo un gioco che mescola The Last of Us, Station 11 e I Figli degli Uomini, e che si concentrasse sullo scorrere del tempo e sulla storia di una comunità di sopravvissuti?".
Bene, ho buone notizie. Il Core Book è ora disponibile in PDF per i backer di questa e quella campagna, e sarà disponibile per il pubblico ad un prezzo maggiorato dal 19 novembre.

September is almost over, so I probably should have called this update something else, but I couldn't think of anything better. Anyway, even if there aren't any major updates to share, I just want to keep you updated on what's going on.
TL;DR: We have some new art to show, Broken Tales is a finalist for RPG of the Year at Italy's biggest awards, and the writing of Lost Stories is progressing well.
New Art
First of all, here's some new art from Daniel.
Below are Brunhilde the Fighter and Harlequin the Servant, both Dark Presences. Dark Presences are special NPCs that can be dropped anywhere, regardless of the Scenario, to make life easier - or harder - for the Hunters.

Broken Tales Among the Final Five!
While this is only slightly relevant for all you English speakers out there, I'm happy to tell you that Broken Tales is among the 5 finalists for the RPG of the Year 2023 (Gioco di Ruolo dell'Anno 2023) in the biggest Italian awards. The winner will be announced during Lucca Comics & Games 2023, which, believe it or not, is one of the biggest geek events in the world.
We're competing with another original title (Prism) and three localisations (Wanderhome, The King is Dead and Heart). They're all great titles, so... we'll see :)
The winner will be announced at the beginning of November.
Lost Stories: Status Report
Our author Alberto is currently finishing the Stretch Goals and some of the Scenarios. A round of playtesting is planned for the coming weeks, which will also include testing some of the new Hunters. These playtests will take place on our Discord server, but for simplicity's sake will be in Italian. We will be offering some Discord games in English later on, when the Scenarios are more finalized.
The current schedule is for Alberto to finish all text by mid-November and for me to start my blessing round on all the content in early December (imagine me reading stuff and swiping left and right, basically Broken Tales Tinder).
Other rewards
Those of you who pledged for the Core Book of Dead Air: Seasons, rejoice: the PDF is now out in beta for backers of the original Dead Air: Seasons campaign (so, not this campaign), we have collected all the relevant feedback, and we plan to release the final PDF by late October.
We're almost there, you'll get a download link when we're ready (the other books in the series are still being worked on). The game is also getting great early feedback, so we think we may have another winner in the bag.

Ciao a tutti i Perduti,
Settembre è quasi finito, quindi probabilmente avrei dovuto chiamare questo aggiornamento in un altro modo, ma non mi è venuto in mente niente di meglio. Ad ogni modo, anche se oggi non ho niente di epocale da annunciare, voglio farvi il punto della situazione.
TL;DR: Abbiamo nuove immagini da mostrare, Broken Tales è finalista per il Gioco di Ruolo dell'Anno 2023 e la stesura di Lost Stories procede bene.

Sono felice di dirvi che Broken Tales è tra i 5 finalisti per il Gioco di Ruolo dell'Anno 2023. Il vincitore sarà annunciato durante Lucca Comics & Games 2023. Siamo in gara con un altro titolo originale (Prism, degli amici di Fumble) e tre localizzazioni (Wanderhome, The King is Dead e Heart). Sono tutti titoli fantastici, che peraltro ho già in libreria, quindi... vedremo :)
Il vincitore sarà annunciato all'inizio di novembre, in concomitanza con la fiera.
Lost Stories: status report
Alberto sta attualmente completando gli Stretch Goal e alcuni degli Scenari. Nelle prossime settimane è previsto un ciclo di playtesting, che includerà anche il test di alcuni dei nuovi Cacciatori. Questi playtest si svolgeranno sul nostro server Discord, fatevi sentire se siete interessati.
La tabella di marcia prevede che Alberto finisca tutto i testi entro la metà di novembre e che io inizi il mio giro di benedizione dei contenuti all'inizio di dicembre (immaginatemi mentre leggo le cose e faccio swipe a sinistra e a destra, tipo Broken Tales Tinder).

Avete aggiunto il Core Book of Dead Air: Seasons al vostro pledge? Il PDF è attualmente disponibile in versione beta per i backer della campagna originale di Dead Air: Seasons (quindi non questa campagna), abbiamo raccolto tutti i feedback rilevanti e contiamo di rilasciare la versione PDF definitiva entro la fine di ottobre.

Un rapido aggiornamento sui sondaggi del Pledge Manager su Backerkit. Come da precedente aggiornamento, gli ordini di chi ha completato il sondaggio sono stati chiusi ieri, quindi da questo momento in poi non sarà possibile apportare modifiche al vostro ordine (potete comunque contattarmi per questioni urgenti e posso riaprirli manualmente). Per essere chiari, sarà comunque possibile modificare l'indirizzo di spedizione ancora per alcuni mesi.
Le carte di credito sono state addebitate per ipagamenti in sospeso (spedizioni e add-on aggiunti dal Pledge Manager), quindi se vedete un addebito da parte di The World Anvil, si tratta di questo.
Attenzione: 90 backer non hanno ancora compilato il sondaggio. Non possiamo consegnare le ricompense se il sondaggio non viene compilato, quindi assicuratevi di averlo fatto.

It’s time for a practical reminder and a good time to show you some progress.
TL;DR: We have some new art from Lost Stories to show. Please be sure to complete your Pledge Manager survey before it closes on August 31. We lay out everything that will be in the book.
Having said that, we still have over 120 backers who did not. We cannot deliver rewards if the survey is not filled out, so please ensure that you have completed it. It takes 30 seconds.
Daniel has completed the first round of post-campaign artwork. A couple of examples can be found at the top and bottom of this update: The Silent Stepmother (Hunter) and one of the spot illustrations we’ll use somewhere in the book. I really enjoyed these two and couldn't resist including them as a preview.
If are familiar with the first two books, you'll notice that, while they're "100% Broken Tales," they also have a particular mood that will pervade the entire Lost Stories.
Lost Stories: the tracker
We traditionally create a "tracker" during the production process to help us, well, track where we are with all phases of the book completion. I finally found the time in the last few days to lay out all of the Lost Stories moving parts in a tracker, and it's nothing short of massive.
I wanted to include a couple of screenshots so you:
Understand what is included in the book and
Get an idea of the amount of work behind Lost Stories
Some of the translations are tentative; if a better choice becomes available during the editing phase, we will improve them. Also, take completion percentages with a grain of salt: some tasks necessitate more effort than others, and some portions of the book tend to come together quickly after a certain milestone is reached.

TL;DR: Abbiamo alcune nuove immagini di Lost Stories da mostrare. Assicuratevi di completare il sondaggio del Pledge Manager prima del lock degli ordini il 31 agosto. Vi mostriamo tutto ciò che sarà contenuto nel libro.
Detto questo, abbiamo ancora oltre 120 backer che non l'hanno fatto. Non possiamo consegnare le ricompense se il sondaggio non viene compilato, quindi assicuratevi di averlo completato, ci vogliono 30 secondi netti.
SE AVETE SOLO RICOMPENSE DIGITALI
Se volete avere pieno accesso alle vostre ricompense, dovete comunque completare il sondaggio e fornire il vostro indirizzo. Il fisco ci impone di sapere da dove proviene ogni backer, in modo da poter pagare le tasse in modo corretto. CHIUSURA DEI SONDAGGI
Tutti i sondaggi completati saranno chiusi il 31 agosto. Cosa significa in pratica:
Pochi giorni dopo il blocco, le carte di credito verranno addebitate per le spese di spedizione e gli Add-On. Se avete utilizzato PayPal, siete già a posto.
Potrete cambiare il vostro indirizzo ancora per diversi mesi. Vi comunicheremo il termine ultimo per la modifica dell'indirizzo più avanti.
Daniel ha completato la prima serie di illustrazioni post-campagna. Un paio di esempi si trovano in cima e in fondo a questo aggiornamento: La Matrigna Silenziosa (Cacciatrice) e una delle illustrazioni spot che utilizzeremo da qualche parte nel libro. Queste due illustrazioni mi piacciono da matti e non ho potuto fare a meno di includerle come anteprima.
Se avete familiarità con i primi due libri, noterete che, pur essendo "100% Broken Tales", hanno anche una particolare stile che pervaderà l'intero Lost Stories.
Lost Stories: il tracker
Durante la produzione dei giochi, tradizionalmente creiamo un "tracker" per aiutarci a tenere traccia di tutte le fasi di completamento del libro. Negli ultimi giorni ho finalmente trovato il tempo di mettere su un tracker tutte le parti che compongono Lost Stories, ed è a dir poco enorme.
Ho voluto includere un paio di screenshot in modo che possiate:
Capire cosa è incluso nel libro e
Avere un'idea della mole di lavoro che sta dietro a Lost Stories.
Alcune traduzioni sono provvisorie; se durante la fase di editing sarà disponibile una scelta migliore, le miglioreremo. Inoltre, prendete le percentuali di completamento con le molle: alcuni compiti richiedono più lavoro di altri, e alcune parti del libro tendono a essere completate rapidamente dopo il raggiungimento di una certa milestone.

The Smoke Test revealed no issues, so we're good to go.
TL;DR: The Pledge Manager is now open, and you should fill out your survey as soon as possible - remember, no survey, no rewards. We've also opened the Late Pledge for those who missed the campaign.
The Pledge Manager is open
The Backerkit Pledge Manager is where you confirm your order, choose add-ons, choose which language you want your items in, and pay for shipping.
Digital files and WIP documents will also be distributed through the Pledge Manager. More on this below.
If you need guidance, I have created a video tutorial. This could be useful for veterans as well, so take a look.

Read this before starting
This list of warnings was forged in the tears shed while fulfilling previous campaigns; please bear with me:
There are no exceptions to completing the survey in order to receive your rewards. You might think this is obvious, but we've had people not fill out their surveys despite fifty reminders, and we have no idea why. There will be no rewards if there is no survey.
Filling out the survey should take no more than 5 minutes.We expect you to carefully read the instructions on the screen. If you can't do it now, do it at your earliest convenience. This seems obvious as well, but we've had cases in the past of people completely disregarding the instructions and then complaining.
Even for digital rewards, we must request your address. Please fill in your address because it is required for tax purposes.
This is the first warning you will see, and 99% of you won’t have this issue, but just to make sure: if your package weighs more than 7-8 kg (about 10+ books) or you live in a remote location, you will see a shipping fee of 9 999€. That is not a legitimate charge, so DO NOT PAY IT; we will not be able to reimburse you. It's just a placeholder: it means I need to calculate how much it would cost to ship the parcel to you, and because yours is an edge case, I have to do it manually. Please contact me at [email protected] and I'll rectify the situation with the correct shipping fee. Please keep in mind that, as stated in the campaign, there are some countries where we do not ship.
We will lock orders at the end of August. You can make changes until then (if you pay with credit card). Payment via Paypal is required immediately, and you can only add to your order after that. You can change your shipping address until your order is almost ready to ship.
If some fees remain unpaid by shipping time, your pledge will be converted to digital, and the remainder of your payment will be converted into credit to spend on the Pledge Manager (see FAQ).
Even for existing books, Pledge Manager PDF rewards will be delivered after the surveys are locked (end of August).
That video tutorial I made really answers a lot of questions, watch it!
On the final screen of the survey, you can share your survey completion on social media. That is actually meaningful because it directs people to the Late Pledge. If you have any energy left by the end, we'd appreciate it if you could smash that share button ;)
Do you know anyone who missed out on the campaign?
Let them know that they can still grab everything we had on offer during the Kickstarter (albeit at a slightly higher cost, and, obviously, without unlocking Stretch Goals).

Da leggere prima di iniziare
Questo elenco di avvertimenti è stato forgiato nelle lacrime versate durante il completamento delle campagne precedenti; abbiate pazienza:
Non ci sono eccezioni al completamento del sondaggio per ricevere le ricompense. Potreste pensare che sia ovvio, ma abbiamo avuto persone che non hanno compilato il sondaggio nonostante cinquanta promemoria, e non abbiamo idea del perché. Niente sondaggio, niente ricompense.
La compilazione del sondaggio non dovrebbe richiedere più di 5 minuti.Ci aspettiamo che leggiate attentamente le istruzioni. Se non potete farlo ora, fatelo al più presto. Anche questo sembra ovvio, ma in passato abbiamo avuto casi di persone che hanno completamente ignorato le istruzioni e poi si sono lamentate.
Dobbiamo richiedere il vostro indirizzo anche se avete pledge solo digitali, per questioni fiscali.
Faremo il lock-down degli ordini alla fine di agosto (ovvero non potrete più modificarli). È possibile apportare modifiche fino ad allora (se si paga con carta di credito). Il pagamento con Paypal è richiesto immediatamente, dopo potrete solo aggiungere qualcosa al vostro ordine. Sarà possibile modificare l'indirizzo di spedizione finché l'ordine non sarà quasi pronto per essere spedito. Le procedure per il ritiro in fiera saranno stabilite più avanti, per evitare sorprese vi chiediamo di anticipare le spese di spedizione in ogni caso.
Se al momento della spedizione alcune spese non sono ancora state pagate, il vostro pledge sarà convertito in digitale e il resto del pagamento sarà convertito in credito da spendere sul Pledge Manager (vedi FAQ).
Anche per i libri esistenti, le ricompense in PDF del Pledge Manager saranno consegnate dopo il lock-down dei sondaggi (fine agosto).
